An early first half goal from Oswego proved to be the game-winner as The College at Brockport Field Hockey team fell to the Lakers 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Golden Eagles are eliminated from State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament contention.

Oswego scored the lone goal on its first shot of the game at the 5:46 mark of the first half and it stood until the final buzzer as the Golden Eagles fall to 6-6 overall on the year and 2-4 in the SUNYAC. Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) had three saves on the day.

The Golden Eagles' offense had its chances late in the game, keeping the ball in the Oswego zone over the final 10 minutes of the game, but failed to find the back of the net.

Brockport held a 9-6 advantage in penalty corners. Oswego held a slight 7-6 advantage in shots as Brockport had three shots in each half.

The Golden Eagles have two games remaining on their schedule to close out the regular season. Brockport will host Houghton for Senior Day at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 24 and will travel to Rochester on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1:00 pm.
