Senior Jessica Nasuti (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) scored a goal in her final regular season home game but The College at Brockport Field Hockey team dropped 2-1 match in overtime to Houghton College on Wednesday afternoon. Playing at Brockport Field, the Golden Eagles tied the game in the second half but fell in the first overtime. Brockport is now 6-7 overall.

Nasuti's first career goal of her four-year career came in the 53rd minute to tie the game at one. The Golden Eagles allowed a first period goal to the Highlanders but senior goalie Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) and the Brockport defense kept Houghton scoreless until overtime. Adria Bridgwood scored in the fourth minute of overtime to take the nonconference victory.

Brockport's goal came after a shot from Ashley Elmes (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay). Nasuti positioned herself in front of the Houghton net to grab the rebound and score her first goal in 46 career games. Elmes now leads the Golden Eagles with three assists on the year.

The Brockport defense managed to allow just one shot on net after tying the game at one, resulting in a kick-save from Schreiner. The senior goalie made two more big saves in the first overtime period before Bridgwood's shot just crossed the line for the game-winner.

Brockport's final game of the regular season will be played at Rochester University on Saturday, Oct. 27. Game time is set for 1:00 pm.
