Volleyball Falls in First Pool Play Match

Golden Eagles drop a 3-0 decision to Buffalo State

Sarah Zelko had 14 assists in the Buffalo State match in Pool Play
Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiaque) recorded four kills and 11 digs for The College at Brockport Volleyball team Friday but it was not enough as Buffalo State won a 3-0 match in the first day of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play competition at Geneseo.

Buffalo State won the match by games scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-13. Fredonia downed Oswego in the other SUNYAC West match by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-8. Brockport will face Fredonia and Oswego Saturday at Geneseo.

Fordyce led Brockport (4-11, 0-1 SUNYAC) with her 11 digs while Hannah Sawicki (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) led the offense with five kills and Jessica Senek (Ransomville, NY/Wilson) chipped in four kills. Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) recorded eight digs and Sarah Zelko (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) added six digs and 14 assists for the Golden Eagles.
