Golden Eagles Drop Two at Pool Play

Brockport falls to Oswego and Fredonia on the second day of SUNYAC Pool Play

Chelsea Ross had one ace and nine digs against Oswego
Competing on day two of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play, The College at Brockport Women's Volleyball team fell to Oswego in the opening match 3-0 and dropped to Oswego 3-0 in the afternoon match.

Against Oswego, the Golden Eagles fell by scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-13. Later on in the day Brockport fell in straight sets to Fredonia by scores of 25-15, 25-14, and 25-6.

Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiague) paced Brockport  against Oswego with a team-high 12 kills while also adding six digs. Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) had four kills and eight digs against the Lakers while Chelsea Ross (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) added nine digs. Ross and Snyder combined for three aces.

Sarah Zelko (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) had 12 assists against both Oswego and Fredoniaand Hannah Sawicki (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) added six kills between the two matches.

Taking on the Blue Devils in the second match of the day, Fordyce once again led Brockport, this time dropping in a team-high 10 digs. Snyder finished with five kills and five digs while Ross had six digs of her own. Liz Dates (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) had four digs against Fredonia.

Brockport will host its first home game of the season as the Golden Eagles take on Nazareth at 7:00 pm on Sept. 26.
