Volleyball Finishes SUNYAC Play 0-2

The Golden Eagles lost to Potsdam and Oswego in the final SUNYAC weekend

Jaime Snyder paced the Golden Eagles on Saturday at SUNYAC Pool Play

Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) paced The College at Brockport women's volleyball team on Saturday afternoon at the final State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) hosted by Buffalo State. The Golden Eagles fell 3-1 to Oswego and Potsdam.

In the first game of the day, Brockport fell to Oswego by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-14 and 24-26. Later in the day, the Golden Eagles lost to Potsdam by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-21 and 25-14.

Snyder finished the day with a season-high 49 assists. She also had 10 kills and 24 digs. Jessica Greiner (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) added 26 assists, six digs and four kills. Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiague) led the team in kills with 20. Hannah Sawicki (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) tallied 12 kills and 11 digs.

On defense, Mary Cocking (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) continued to lead with 33 digs. Cocking also stepped up on offense, recording 16 kills. Liz Dates (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) registered 21 digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday for their final games of the 2013-14 season. Brockport takes on Houghton at 11:00 am and then Hiram at 3:00 pm.
