Sophomore Stephanie Schuler (Purcellville, VA/Hickory) led The College at Brockport Gymnastics team with the high team score on two different events as the Golden Eagles defeated Ithaca and Cortland but fell to Division I Cornell University Saturday afternoon in a quad-meet at Cornell. Brockport scored 187.235 to Cortland's 186.775 and Ithaca's 180.125 but Cornell won the event with a team score of 190.625.
 
The meet was originally scheduled to have Yale and Southern Connecticut State involved as well but winter weather caused the two schools to pull out of the meet.
 
Schuler had the high Brockport score on both the vault and the uneven bars. She scored a 9.575 with her vault and had a 9.550 on the bars for the Golden Eagles.
 
Brockport scored at least a 9.0 with each of the top five gymnasts on each event to provide a balanced attack.
 
On the vault, Schuler had the high Brockport score followed by Amanda Carney (Walpole, MA/Walpole) scoring a 9.525, Haylee Garrick (Myrtle Beach, SC/Carolina Forest) adding a 9.375 and Taryn Kateridge (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) coming in at 9.325 for Brockport.
 
Schuler was also tops for the Golden Eagles on the bars with her 9.55 followed by Elizabeth Levy (Glen Allen, VA/Hermitage) who scored a 9.325. Heidi Beckerich (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard) and Casey Addis (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) each scoring 9.225 and Kelcie Morris (Hagerstown, MD/Smithburg) adding a 9.20.
 
Morris led the Golden Eagles on the balance beam with a 9.50 while Levy scored 9.45, Kathryn Coghlan (Wappingers Falls, NY/John Jay East Fishkill) added a 9.425 while freshman Lily Jagodzinski (Tonawanda, NY/Williamsville North) earned a 9.35 for her routine.
 
On the floor, Lexi King (Glendale, AZ/Mountain Ridge) led Brockport with a 9.525 and Carney added a 9.45. Levy was given a 9.275 and Stephanie Pastorelli (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) had a 9.225.
