Cortland, NY – The Brockport gymnastics team placed third at the NCGA National Championships on Friday with a season-high total of 193.875 points. To go with the third-place trophy, the Golden Eagles earned six different All-American honors at the meet and had two gymnasts named Academic All-Americans.
For each event on the national stage, the top eight scorers are recognized as NCGA All-Americans.
Kiara Hockman snagged All-American honors on the vault, balance beam, and the floor.
Kayla Gleason earned All-American status on both the beam and the floor.
Alyssa Strain added one more All-American to the list on the beam.
The NCGA recognizes any senior gymnasts currently maintaining a 3.25 GPA or higher as Academic All-Americans. Brockport's
Claire Wood and
Cali Czarcinski both were recognized for their exceptional work in the classroom on Friday.
Starting out the day of competition on the floor, the Golden Eagles were flying high all meet long. On the way to a season-best total score, they posted a 48.950 on the floor, 48.250 on the vault, 48.125 on the bars, and 48.550 on the beam.
Leading Brockport's rotation on the floor exercise was the duo of
Kiara Hockman and
Kayla Gleason. The pair of Golden Eagles shined to earn All-American status, both hitting a 9.850 to be part of a 6-way tie for first place. Hockman and Gleason each earned Co-National Champion honors on the floor.
Brockport also saw strong scores from the rest of the floor group.
Jamarie Saravia's routine was good for a 9.775.
Claire Wood added a 9.750 to the total, while
Cali Czarcinski rounded out the scoring with a 9.725.
Up next was the vault, which saw
Kiara Hockman earn another Co-National Title and All-American honor. With a 9.800 on the day she was part of a 4-way tie for first place on the national stage.
The vault squad also pulled out a 9.700 from
Emma Langdon, 9.675 from
Lienna Kay, 9.550 from
Jamarie Saravia, and 9.525 from
Shannon Gibbs.
One of Brockport's best showings on the bars all season was led by a pair of 9.750 scores, posted by
Lienna Kay and
Emma Brookins. Included in the scoring for the event was a 9.650 from
Alexis Schulman, 9.525 from
Julia Klucinec, and 9.450 from
Celina Satter.
Finishing up the meet with the balance beam, Brockport saw a trio of All-American performances.
Kiara Hockman,
Kayla Gleason, and
Alyssa Strain all put up a 9.775 in the event to earn recognition.
Lienna Kay added a 9.625 and
Emma Brookins hit a 9.600 to finish off the scoring on the beam.
Brockport finishes the season with three NCGA Co-National Champions, six NCGA All-Americans, and two NCGA Academic All-Americans. The Golden Eagles bring home the 3
rd-place trophy from nationals to go with a sixth consecutive regional title in 2026.
