Box Score 2 Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiague) and
Amanda Riebe (Pleasant Valley, NY/Millbrook) recorded 41 kills combined, but The College at Brockport women's volleyball team lost to Geneseo and Plattsburg on Saturday afternoon during the final day of SUNYAC Pool Play hosted by the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Eagles opened up with a win in the first set against Geneseo, but could not hold on for the overall victory, falling in the final three sets.
Brockport fought in a close battle against Plattsburgh in the second game of the day, but lost 2-3. The Golden Eagles fell 23-25, 25-23, 27-29, 25-16 and 14-16.
Against Plattsburgh, Fordyce and  Riebe paced the Golden Eagle offense. Fordyce finished with 21 kills, while Riebe recorded 20 kills and 12 digs.
Jaime Snyder (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) added 11 kills and 14 digs. Jess Greiner (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) recorded a career best 65 assists.Â
Defensively,
Mary Cocking (Brockport, NY/Byron-Bergen) led the way with 35 kills and
Chelsea Ross (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) tallied 17.
The Golden Eagles return to action on October 8 at home for a matchup against RIT at 7:00 pm.Â
