Box Score Sophomore Lindsay Farrell (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) made eight saves for The College at Brockport Field Hockey team Wednesday afternoon in a 4-0 loss to Geneseo in the final State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game of the season for the Golden Eagles.
Brockport (3-12 Overall, 2-4 SUNYAC) fired 17 shots at the Geneseo (5-8, 2-2) goal including 13 in the second half but could not find the back of the cage.
Geneseo scored twice in the first half and added a pair of goals in the second half for the final margin of victory.
The loss eliminated the Golden Eagles from contention for the SUNYAC Tournament.
Brockport had nine penalty corner opportunities in the second half and finished with 12 in the game. Geneseo had nine chances in the first half and finished with 13 in the game.
Farrell, currently ranked 14th in the country in saves per game, stopped seven shots in the first half and added one in the second half. Her 144 saves so far this season moved her into the No. 7 spot on the all-time list for saves in a season passing Kathy Satterley's 138 saves in 1989. Farrell is five saves away from sixth place on the list.
