Box Score After falling behind 3-0, The College at Brockport Field Hockey team rallied for two quick goals to make it close before suffering a 4-2 loss to Oneonta in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game Saturday on Bob Boozer Field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium in Brockport.
Brockport (3-9 overall, 2-2 SUNYAC) trailed 2-0 at halftime and Oneonta (6-4, 3-1) took a 3-0 lead at the 48:09 mark of the second half.
One minute later, freshman Margo Tremaine (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) knocked in a rebound off an Abby Eschen (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) shot for Brockport's first goal trimming the lead to 3-1.
Three minutes later, Brockport cut the lead to a single goal as Nicole Fazzolari (Eden, NY/Eden) scored her first goal of the season as she redirected a shot by freshman Kaitlin Croghan (Pine Plains, NY/Stissing Mountain) into the back of the goal.
With less than four minutes remaining in the game, Oneonta added a fourth goal for the final score.
Lindsay Farrell (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) had another double-digit saves day finishing with 12 saves for the Golden Eagles. Eschen led Brockport with three shots on goal and Brockport held a 5-2 advantage in penalty corner attempts in the second half.
