Box Score Freshman Margo Tremaine (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) scored on a pass from senior Abby Eschen (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) for The College at Brockport Field Hockey team to trim the Utica College lead to 2-1 in the first half but the Pioneers rallied for four second half goals and a 6-1 victory in a non-conference game Wednesday afternoon on Bob Boozer Field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium in Brockport.
Utica (10-1) scored twice in the first eight minutes of the contest to take the early lead before Brockport (3-10) answered to trim the Utica lead to a single goal. Eschen moved to the cage and lifted a pass toward Tremaine who knocked the ball out of the air and into the back of the cage for the goal.
The teams headed to the halftime intermission at 2-1 despite Utica holding a 17-2 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in penalty corners. Brockport sophomore goalie Lindsay Farrell (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) made nine saves in the opening 35 minutes of action.
In the second half, Utica fired 19 shots toward the Brockport cage and scored four times with two goals coming in the first five minutes of the half and the final two goals coming in the final eight minutes of the game.

Kayla Kulzer (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) combined to make 22 saves for the Golden Eagles.
