Box Score Senior Abby Eschen (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) and freshman Margo Tremaine (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) each scored two goals leading The College at Brockport Field Hockey team to a 6-0 win over Morrisville Friday afternoon in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game on Bob Boozer Field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium in Brockport.
Brockport 3-7 Overall, 2-0 SUNYAC) dominated the flow of the game firing 42 shots at the Morrisville (1-6, 0-2) cage including 23 in the first half. The Golden Eagles also took 14 penalty corners in the contest compared to just one for the Mustangs.
Senior Alyssa Mills (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) opened the scoring less than eight minutes into the game with a pass from Eschen off a penalty corner as Brockport took the early lead.
Tremaine and Eschen added goals within a span of four minutes near the end of the first half and the Golden Eagles held a 3-0 at the halftime intermission.
Less than five minutes into the second half, Tremaine added her second goal of the day with a short pass in the arc from fellow freshman Amy Masciale (Selden, NY/Newfield) giving Brockport a 4-0 lead.
Sophomore Emilee Boddery (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich) scored her first career goal for Brockport with less than 20 minutes remaining with an unassisted goal off a rebounded save for the Morrisville goalie.
Just 45 seconds later, Eschen scored her second goal of the game to stretch the lead to 6-0.
Lindsay Farrell (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) had seven saves for Brockport.
