Box Score Senior Kayla Barber led The College at Brockport Volleyball team to a 3-0 win in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) match over Geneseo in Potsdam Friday evening.
Brockport (18-1 Overall, 4-0 SUNYAC) is now enjoying an eight match win streak after defeating its fourth SUNYAC opponent on the season. The Golden Eagles defeated the Knights by scores of 25-15, 25-23 and 25-23.
Barber finished the contest with 20 kills while posting a strong .333 hitting percentage. The senior outside hitter also contributed a service ace, four digs and a blocked shot.
Leading the team in hitting percentage was setter Noelle Poloncarz. She posted a highly efficient .750 hitting percentage nailing down three kills in four attempts with zero errors. The sophomore Orchard Park native paced the offense with 33 assists and also added five digs.
Kathleen Irwin posted 13 digs in the contest, contributing two assists against her former team. Fellow first-year Golden Eagle Jamie Schlesinger added 12 digs in addition to two blocked shots.
Senior Ashley Capone posted big numbers in the block department as she had two solo blocked shots with six more block assists.
Brockport continues SUNYAC pool play in Potsdam tomorrow with multiple matches.
