Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Nicole Fazzolari, Katherine Weyant and Amy Masciale each tallied their first goal of the season Friday afternoon as The College at Brockport Field Hockey team fell 4-3 to Oswego State in its first State University of New York Athletic Conference game of the season.
Fazzolari got the scoring started for the Golden Eagles 14 minutes into the game taking advantage of a deflected pass. With 10 minutes remaining in the first half, Emilee Boddery found Katherine Weyant in front of the goal for Brockport's (0-6 overall, 0-1 SUNYAC) second goal of the game. Brockport took a 2-1 to halftime.
Less than 90 seconds into the second half, Margo Tremaine sent a pass around the net to Amy Masciale who netted it give Brockport a 3-1 lead. Oswego (1-4, 1-0) answered back with a goal 10 minutes later and tallied two goals less than a minute apart to take a 4-3 lead.
The Golden Eagles outshot the Laker 12-10 despite having two less penalty corners. Masciale led the offense with six shots, three of which were on goal. Tremaine and Fazzolari tallied three and two shots respectively. Paula Amo tallied four saves in goal. Amo and Sarah Beam each gave up two goals. Beam suffered her third loss of the season.
