Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Paula Amo tied the record for saves in a game with 17 saves as The College at Brockport Field Hockey team fell to nationally ranked University of Rochester 4-0 Wednesday night at Bob Boozer Field.
Amo faced 26 shots, stopping 85% of them and allowing three goals in just over 43 minutes of play to Rochester (6-2) who was ranked 20th in the nation this week. The freshman goalkeeper had a strong start to the game, making six saves in the first five minutes of play.
Brockport's (0-8) defense was led by Autumn Swavely who made a defense save late in the first half to hold Brockport's deficit to two at halftime. Swavely has now tallied four defensive saves in the past three games.
The Golden Eagles recorded four shots with two coming from Margo Tremaine. Katherine Weyant and Kelsey Devine tallied one shot each.
Goalkeeper Sarah Beam saved four shots and allowed one goal in the final 26 minutes of the game. Amo suffered her fifth loss of the season.
