BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's gymnastics program used a strong team performance to open their 2016 campaign with a win on Tuesday against SUNY Cortland, 185.550-181.975. 
The Golden Eagles dominated on the vault, taking four of the top five finishes for a team score of 46.950. 
Stephanie Mager tied for first, and led the Golden Eagles with a score of 9.550.  
Bridgette Schaal took third with a score of 9.525 while 
Candis Kowalik and 
Jen Sklenar each scored a 9.350 to tie for fourth in the event. 
On the second rotation, Brockport's 
Maddie O'Braitis scored a 9.375 to capture first place on the uneven bars. 
Meghan Cash took second in the event with a 9.350 and 
Miranda Shaine placed third overall with a 9.225. The Golden Eagles also captured the bars with a team score of 46.100. 
Brockport outscored their opponents on the beam, with a team score of 45.300. 
Lily Jagodzinski tied for first with a score of 9.550, while 
Kendra Bushart placed third with a 9.400 and Alexis Frankowski tied for fourth with a 9.200. 
On the final rotation, the Golden Eagles took the floor with a team score of 46.425. 
Brittany Vasile led the way, placing second with a 9.500, and Sklenar took third, scoring a 9.450. Jagodzinski scored a 9.400 to tie for fourth overall in the event. 
The Golden Eagles will be back in action when they host Ursinus College on Jan. 16 at 1 p.m.
