ITHACA, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's gymnastics team was narrowly edged on Wednesday against Ithaca College, falling 182.750-181.475.
On their opening rotation,
Caitlin Elsadek took first on the uneven bars, scoring a 9.425.
Marissa Piper placed third overall with a 9.150. As a team, the Golden Eagles also took the event, scoring 44.775 on the apparatus.
On the vault,
Casey Sullivan led the way for Brockport, placing tied for second with a 9.400. In the third rotation, the Golden Eagles scored a 46.700 to tie on the event with the Bombers. Piper led the way again in the event, placing third on the floor with a 9.475. Sullivan and
Stephanie Mager placed tied for fourth in the event, scoring 9.400.
On the Beam,
Erica Roth captured the high score for the Eagles, with a score 9.175 to take third overall in the event.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Jan. 24 when they continue their road stretch at Springfield College.
