ITHACA, N.Y. – The College at Brockport competed in a tri-meet, at Ithaca College on Sunday, which saw a host of Golden Eagles in action.
The Green and Gold finished the meet in second, behind the host Bombers, who posted a team score of 189.575. Brockport pieced together a score of 183.800, bypassing Rhode Island College's score of 174.925.
Stephanie Mager led the way for Brockport, taking first on the vault with a score of 9.725, while
Jamie Sklenar finished right behind with the second highest score, a 9.550.
Hayden Davidson and
Jade Sadowski were the next Green and Gold finishers, with scores of 9.450 and 9.425 respectively to take fourth and sixth on the event. The Golden Eagles posted their highest score of the meet on the apparatus, a 47.500.
Mager was also the top Golden Eagle on the bars, posting a score of 9.375 on the event to take fourth.
Kimberly Musall was right on her heels, finishing in fifth with a 9.300 while
Candis Kowalik took seventh with a score of 9.250.
Courtney Kamberalis grabbed a top 10 spot, finishing ninth, with a score of 9.100. As a team, Brockport posted a score of 45.775, their second highest of the meet.
On the beam, the Green and Gold scored a 45.350, with
Alyssa Klock leading the way with a fourth-place finish with a 9.525.
Olivia DeLuca and
Erica Roth finished in 10th and 11th respectively, with scores of 9.100 and 9.000.
Kayleen Burns led the charge on the floor, with a 9.475 for fifth on the event. The Green and Gold swept the next three spots, with Kamberalis scoring a 9.100, Davidson posting a 9.075 and Musall finishing in 10th with a 9.050. The Brockport team scored a 45.175 on the floor.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on March 4, when they head to the Brown Bears Invite, where they will take on Southern Connecticut State University, the University of Bridgeport and hosts Brown University.
