PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The College at Brockport women's gymnastics team proved their dominance Saturday afternoon at the Rhode Island College Quad Meet where they went head to head with the Anchormen of RIC, Springfield College, and Ursinus College.

The Golden Eagles brought home a first-place finish with a score of 186.300. The next closest team score came from Springfield with a 183.300, followed by Ursinus with a 180.125 finish and lastly Rhode Island who notched a 177.200.

Candis Kowalik led the way for the Golden Eagles in All-Arounds, putting together a 37.975 total score on the day. The seniors' strongest performance came on the beam where she grabbed first place with a score 9.625. Freshman
Jensen Todd made her debut as well on beam with a strong third-place finish, posting a 9.375.

With six members ranking in the top five, the Golden Eagles dominated with their performances on the bars.
Courtney Kamberalis grabbed a second-place finish with a 9.400, followed by
Nicole Jackson,
Taylor Keough, and Kowalik who tied for third with scores of 9.350, and closed off with
Stephanie Mager and
Amy Eck who tied for fourth with 9.150 finishes.

Jamie Sklenar was the front runner for the Green and Gold on the vault, posting a 9.400. Skelnar was joined by teammate
Alexis Castellaneta, who grabbed the fifth spot on the leader board with a score of 9.350.

Now with a perfect start to their season, the Golden Eagles head to Ithaca College next Saturday at 1 p.m. to compete against the Bombers and Springfield College.
