Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's basketball team is on the road this weekend to close out the regular season with matchups against Cortland and Oswego. Brockport takes on Cortland Friday night at 7:30pm before heading to Oswego on Saturday for a 4pm start.
National Rankings: For the first time in six years, the Brockport men's basketball team has cracked the top 25 in the national rankings. In the latest D3hoops national poll, the Golden Eagles were featured at #25 in the country. At 20-3 overall Brockport remains the only team in the SUNYAC receiving national attention.
Regional Picture: For the second week in a row the Green and Gold own the #1 spot in the NCAA Division III regional rankings in the east. The SUNYAC is well represented in the regional rankings, as Oneonta, Potsdam, and Cortland all sitting inside the top seven in the region. Brockport remains ahead of RPI (19-3) and Hobart (19-4) who are second and third respectively in the region.
Still Streaking: The Golden Eagles defeated Geneseo, 88-56, in their last outing to improve to 20-3 overall, 15-1 in conference play, and 11-0 at home. They have now won 13 games in a row, dating back to January 11

Chance to Host: With just two more games left to play before the postseason begins, the final seeding for SUNYAC's has yet to be decided. Currently sitting atop the conference with a 15-1 record in league play, one more win for the Golden Eagles will clinch home court advantage for the conference tournament. It would be the first time Brockport has hosted the SUNYAC Championships since winning the conference title back in 2013-14.
Cortland Matchup: This will be the second regular season meeting against the Red Dragons from Cortland this year. In the previous matchup, Brockport defeated Cortland at home by a score of 86-73.

Austin Grunder had a monster night for the Red Dragons, finishing with 29 points and 18 rebounds to notch a double-double. Cortland is currently 16-7 overall and 10-6 in SUNYAC play, while recently moving into seventh in the NCAA Division III east regional rankings.
Oswego Matchup: The Oswego State Lakers are 17-6 overall and 11-5 in conference play heading into the weekend. They take on Geneseo Friday night before hosting Brockport for the regular season finale. Brockport defeated Oswego, 68-67, earlier in the season thanks to a
Justin Summers block on Oswego's potential game winning shot as time expired.
Jahidi Wallace put up his career-high 27 points in the win, shooting 10-for-12 from the field.
SUNYAC's Up Next: The Golden Eagles will be back in action next week for the beginning of the SUNYAC Tournament. A win this weekend will guarantee a home game for the SUNYAC Semi-Finals, which are set for Friday, February 28
th. Official time and opponent for the tournament will be finalized after the weekend contests.
