The Brockport field hockey team will compete in its final regular season contest of the 2021 season with post season implications on the line. In what could be its biggest game of the season, the team will travel to SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. matchup.

In there last game, the Golden Eagles visited Morrsiville where they shutout the Mustangs 7-0 as goalkeeper
Emma Acevedo notched her second shutout of the season behind two saves in her full 60-minute outing in the cage.

Katie Ziemba had quite the outing with three goals and one assist. With 14 goals on the season, she is now second in the record books for goals in a single season. Her 33 total points is also second most in a single season. Over the time of her career at SUNY Brockport, Ziemba also sits in second place in all time career goals with 30, just four goals shy of the record and with 76 points sits in third place in career points which is just three shy of the record.

Katelynn Mello tallied one goal and one assist in the contest, as she remains third all-time in program history with 17 career assists.Â
Tiffany Andres came in off the bench and contributed heavily with one goal and two assists.

Looking at Geneseo (10-5), (3,2), The Knights most recent game saw them fall to SUNYAC opponent New Paltz by a score of 3-1. Katrina Clare has been the team's top scorer this season as she's recorded 15 points on seven goals and one assist. Sarah Quinlan has racked up the most time in goal for the Knights starting in 14 of her 15 appearances this season. She holds a record of 10-5 with three shutouts and a goal against average of 1.01.

With the hopes of postseason dreams on the line, New Paltz has already clinched the #1 seed with Cortland Clinching the #2 seed. #1 New Paltz will host the #4 seed on Nov. 3rd at 1:30pm as #2 Cortland will host semifinal against the #4 seed on Nov. 3rd at 1 p.m.
