Brockport, NY – The Brockport field hockey team will have two games this upcoming week as they'll look to host the University of Rochester on Tuesday, October 5th at 7:15pm at the Dr. Linda Arena & Class of '69 Field Hockey Venue. Following Tuesday's game, the Golden Eagles will travel to Oneonta where they'll take on the Red Dragons on Friday, October 8th at 5pm in a SUNYAC conference matchup.
Looking back at last week's games, the Golden Eagles fell to SUNY Cortland on Saturday by a score of 7-1. Against Houghton on Wednesday, September 29th, the Golden Eagles pulled off a thrilling come from behind win. Down 2-0 entering halftime,

Kayli Burr would collect the game tying goal with 5:52 remaining in the game. Mello would play hero in this story, as with 1:04 left on the clock, would find her second goal of the game as her game winning goal gave the Golden Eagles the 3-2 victory over the Highlanders.
Looking at the University of Rochester, they will be entering this weekend with a combined 7-3 record and 1-1 record in the Liberty League Conference. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a tough loss against Ithaca College on Sunday evening falling 0-1 to the Bombers. Amanda Strenk leads the U of R's offense with 12 goals on the year off 61 total shots. The next highest player for U of R's shots tally this season is that of Nikki Mercer with 18 who is also second in goals for the team this season with seven. In goal for the Yellow Jackets has been Abigail Walrond who's started in all 10 games this season for the U of R. she's recorded 37 saves while facing 76 shots. She will enter Tuesday's game with a 7-3 record and 1.18 goals against average.
Looking at Oneonta, the Red Dragons are 2-5 this season and 1-1 in SUNYAC play. Prior to their matchup with Brockport, the Red Dragons will matchup against Ithaca College on Wednesday night. Over the weekend, the Red Dragons managed to defeat Morrisville 2-0 on Saturday afternoon. Morgan Fleming leads Oneonta's offense this year, having scored three goals and tallying one assist. Splitting time in the cage, Jennifer Tumino and Kristy Campana are the two goalies for Oneonta. Campana has started in all five games she's played un this season as Tumino's started in two of the three games she appeared in with the duo evenly splitting time against Morrisville. Campana has allowed 13 goals while making 42 saves this season for 2.89 goals against average. Tumino stat line gives her 15 saves on five goals allowed. The duo's effort against Morrisville gave them a combined shutout, the team's first shutout this season.
Following this week, SUNY Brockport will play a makeup game against Medaille College on Tuesday, October 12th which was originally scheduled for September 12th.
