Brockport, NY - The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles men's ice hockey team will host the Elmira Soaring Eagle's Tuesday, December 7th, in what will be the final Brockport Athletics' home contest of 2021.

Looking Back: Over the weekend the Golden Eagle's picked up two big SUNYAC wins over the weekend defeating Buffalo State 6-1 and Fredonia 4-2. Against Buffalo State, six different Golden Eagle's made up of

Nolan Egbert went 2-0 in a key SUNYAC Conference weekend for the Golden Eagles. He recorded a total of 57 saves in the teams two wins. He finished the weekend with a goals against average of 1.52 allowing three goals making 57 saves picking up a .950 save percentage this weekend. Amongst goaltenders In the SUNYAC who have recorded over 500 minutes of play this season, Egbert currently ranks first in fewest goals allowed (14), goals against average (1.57), save percentage (.944%), win percentage (.778%) and wins (7).

Ryan Romeo finished the SUNYAC weekend with a team-high total of five points, tallying one assist in the team's 6-1 victory on the road at Buffalo State Friday. He also contributed to all four of Brockport's goals in a 4-2 victory over Fredonia at home on Saturday. He netted one power-play goal and recorded three assists. He was also +5 over the course of the two victories for the Golden Eagles. Romeo currently leads all defenders in the SUNYAC in goals (6), power-play goals (3), assists (12) and points (18). He currently leads all skaters in assists and is tied for first in points and ranks second in the conference in plus/minus (+16).

Looking at Elmira: Elmira is 6-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) so far this season. The Soaring Eagle's last game saw them lose to Skidmore College on Saturday, December 4th by a score of 3-2. Janis Vizbelis, Chance Gorman and Shawn Kennedy are the team's leading points scorers with 12 a piece. Vizbelis leads the team in goals with seven while Kennedy, Jared Smith and Amedeo Mastrangeli lead the teams assists with seven each. In net, Chris Janzen (4-3-1) has allowed 23 goals while making 209 saves with a save percentage this season of .901.

After Tuesday night's game, the Golden Eagle's will travel to SUNY Geneseo where they will go up against the #1 Nationally Ranked Knights in a SUNYAC showdown. Puck drop will be set for 7pm.
