The SUNY Brockport men's and women's track & field teams hosted the Brockport Multi & Invitational at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium on Sunday. The competition will come to a close with the completion of the multi events on Monday.
Alayna Fredenburg set a new PR in the javelin throw with a toss of 38.89m and she now ranks 22
nd on the national outdoor qualifying list.
Brockport throwers took the top three spots in the hammer throw.
Olivia George nearly matched her PR as she posted a winning hammer throw of 49.78m. Fredenburg placed second with a throw of 49.30m and Crockett placed third with a toss of 48.57m. George and Fredenburg now rank in the top 25 nationally in the hammer.
Chanyce Powell was the top finisher in the long jump with a distance of 5.38m, while
Halle King placed second with a distance of 5.05m. Powell also took home top honors in the triple jump with a season best distance of 11.21 meters. Powell now ranks 29
th nationally in the triple jump and 43
rd nationally in the long jump.
Mia Montgomery placed second in the triple jump event with a distance of 10.62m.
Katie Adams won the women's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:46.88, while
Leah Bisgrove added a third place finish in the same event with a time of 14:36.53. The Brockport women's 4x100m relay of
Rhea Winter,
Sarah Levine,
Sabrina Donoghue and Briana Lawless won their event with a time of 51.64.
Rhea Winter also won the women's 400 meter race with a time of 1:03.26.
Emma Mathes was the top finisher in the 800m race with a time of 2:28.02.
Taylor Lawn placed second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:12.49.
Briana Lawless placed first in the women's 200m dash with a time of 27.22, while
Sarah Levine added a second place finish as she posted a time of 27.48.
Emma Kinnicutt and
Sarah Crockett placed first and second in the women's discus throw. Kinnicutt posted a throw of 36.28, while Crockett added a toss of 34.54 meters. Crockett also placed first in the shot put (13.28,), while
Alayna Fredenburg (12.00m) and
Carly Antonucci (11.00m) took home second and third, respectively.
Brockport's Kayleaigh Hildreth and Veronica Daily took home the top two spots in the women's 1500m race. Hildreth posted a time of 5:25.41, while Daily added a time of 5:29.52.
Gillian Laco was the top finisher in the pole vault with a clearance of 2.75m.
Sarah Killip won the high jump with a clearance of 1.52m, while
Halle King came in a close second with a clearance of 1.47m.
Madison Baker is the top Brockport multi after day one and she currently sits in ninth placed with 1775 points.
