The SUNY Brockport track & field program hosted the Brockport Invitational at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Alayna Fredenburg posted a massive PR in the hammer throw as she placed first with a toss of 52.46m. Her throw now ranks third all-time at Brockport and it is the first time she has broken 50 meters in the hammer. Fredenburg also placed first in the javelin throw with a toss of 38.75m.
Sarah Killip posted a personal best clearance of 1.60m in the high jump to place first overall for the Golden Eagles.
Chanyce Powell continues to improve as she won the long jump with a season best leap of 5.42m.
Halle King placed second with a season best jump of 5.40m.
Mia Montgomery added a PR and placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.11m.
Powell nearly PR'ed in the triple jump as she posted a season best distance of 11.65m to take home first place.
Mia Montgomery placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 10.66m.
Brockport once again dominated the shot put and registered the top four finishers in the event.
Sarah Crockett placed first with a throw of 13.21m, while
Alayna Fredenburg placed second with a throw of 11.16m.
Emma Kinnicutt placed third with a toss of 11.07m and
Olivia George rounded out the top four with a throw of 10.59m.
Sarah Levine won the 100 meter dash finals with a time of 13.16, while
Brianna Lawless came in third in the same event with a time of 13.28. Lawless also placed third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.07.
Kelsie Naldrett placed second in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.17, while
Madison Baker came in third with a time of 17.12. Freshman
Rhea Winter placed second in the 400 meter dash with a personal best time of 1:01.51 for the Golden Eagles. She shaved nearly two full seconds off her previous best.
Rose Pitman placed second in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:30.24.
Veronica Dailey placed second in her first 3000 meter steeplechase in the green and gold with a time of 13:11.65.
Syd Steger broke the 20 minute mark for the first time in her outdoor track career as she placed second in the 5K with a time of 19:59.36.
Brockport's 4x100m relay team of
Sarah Levine,
Rhea Winter,
Sabrina Donoghue and
Brianna Lawless posted a season-best time of 50.64. The 4x400m relay team of
Rose Pitman,
Emma Mathes,
Ashley Martinez and
Jennifer Metz placed second with a time of 4:21.44.
Tess Eichner and
Gillian Laco tied for third in the pole vault. They each cleared 2.75m in the event.
Brockport returns to the track on Friday when they travel to SUNY Cortland for day one of the SUNYAC Championships.
