The SUNY Brockport women's track & field team is currently in second place with 51 points after day one of the SUNYAC Conference Championships hosted by SUNY Cortland on Friday. Day two competition begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Brockport posted 28 team points in the women's hammer throw and also earned 12 team points in the javelin throw.
Alayna Fredenburg won the javelin with a throw of 34.02m to earn 10 team points for the Golden Eagles.
Sarah Levine placed fifth overall in the javelin with a toss of 26.46m.
Brockport had the top four finishers in the hammer throw.
Alayna Fredenburg won her second SUNYAC title of the day with a throw of 49.90m, while
Olivia George placed second with a toss of 49.12m.
Sarah Crockett placed third with a distance of 46.79m and freshman
Emma Kinnicutt added a fourth place finish in the event with a throw of 46.67m.
Halle King placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.28m to earn six team points for the Golden Eagles.
Madison Baker is currently in second place in the women's heptathlon after day one. She placed second in the 100 meter hurdles (16.77), the high jump (1.29m), and the 200m dash (29.25) and she placed third in the shot put (7.83m).

Sarah Levine qualified for Saturday finals in the 100m dash. Lawless posted a third place time of 12.77, while Levine added a qualifying time of 13.08. Lawless also placed fourth in the first round of the women's 200m dash with a time 26.58.
Sarah Tingley placed seventh in the 10K with a personal best time of 41:10.29, while
Syd Steger placed 10
th with a personal best time of 41:59.32.
Lucia Sibley qualified for Saturday's finals in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.35, while
Tess Eichner placed fourth to earn four points with a personal best clearance of 2.90m in the women's pole vault.
Gillian Laco added one team point in the pole vault with a seventh place finish (2.75m).
Rhea Winter qualified for Saturday's finals in the 400m dash with a fifth place time of 1:02.47.
