Brockport, NY- The SUNY Brockport field hockey team will compete in its second consecutive road game at The Sage Colleges on Saturday, September 18th with the game scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
 
Heading into Saturday's game, the Golden Eagles are coming off its second straight loss dropping to 3-2 overall this season after a 4-2 loss to Utica Wednesday night. Bailey Lazore and Gianna Salerno were the recorded goal scorers for Brockport while junior defender Emma Acevedo made her second career start in goal tallying five saves in 60 minutes of play.
 
Brockport holds a 2-0 overall record over the Gators recording shutouts in both games and outscoring its opponent 8-0. The last time these two teams played back in 2019 saw the Brockport offense come at Sage hard and heavy without hitting the breaks. Katie Ziemba managed to record two goals in the game while Katelynn Mello scored one of her thanks to an assist from Ziemba. In total the Green and Gold managed to get off 22 shots against Sage with 19 being on goal. The Golden Eagle defense was also a huge part in the win playing 60:00 minutes of lockdown defense to only allow the Gators to record two shots in the whole game with none being sent on goal.
 
Entering Saturday's contest, the Sage Colleges is 1-3 being outscored by its opponents 21-3 this season. The Gators only win came against Medaille in a 2-0 victory. The teams most recent game saw the gators fall to Nazareth College 3-1 on Saturday, September 11th. Leading Sage this season in points is Alyssa Fitzgerald who has tallied one goal and one assist with Destiny Muniz and Kyndra Riche tally the other two goals for the Gators this year. Abigayle Greier has been the starter in the cage for Sage in all four games this season allowing 17 goals while picking up 47 saves in that time span.
 
Following Saturday's contest, Bport will travel to Ithaca to cap off the three game road trip. The game will take place at Ithaca College against the Bombers on Wednesday, September 22nd at 5 p.m.
