Saturday's Spectator Policy & Live Video: Due to COVID-19 capacity protocols, Brockport is limiting the amount of spectators inside the gymnastics facility to individuals who are on the guest list. All other spectators will be able to watch from the upper level. Live video for Saturday's meet will be available atÂ

At the Helm: The Golden Eagles have seen a changing of the guard since the 2020 season. Head Coach Dr. René Lyst took over the reins of the program this past Fall, following the retirement of long-time Head Coach John Feeney. Lyst brings in a vast array of knowledge to the Tuttle North Gymnastic Center, including 20+ years of Division 1 coaching experience. During her college coaching career Lyst has been responsible and instrumental in a list of accomplishments which includes three NCAA Division I Individual National Champions, 53 NCAA All-Americans, two Super Six appearances, 10 NCAA National Championship appearances, 10 NCAA individual national qualifiers, three NCAA regional team titles, 20 NCAA regional team appearances, 24 NCAA regional individual champions, three conference team championships, five conference individual champions, three American award finalists, two Honda award finalists and 115 NACGC/W scholar athletes. Assistant Coach
Brian Daly returns to Brockport for his eighth year with the program.
A Rich Tradition of Success: Brockport gymnastics is one of the most storied programs in NCGA Division III history, having won two national titles (2012 & 2019) and nine regional crowns. The list of accomplishments for the Golden Eagles also includes 15 individuals national champions and 148 NCGA All-Americans.
New Look Golden Eagles: The roster has seen its fair share of rotation since the last meet. A total of 12 athletes graduated in 2020 & 2021. Among those graduates were All-American Jamie Sklenar, who was tied for fifth in the country on the vault in 2020, All-American Amy Eck, who was fourth in the country on the uneven bars in 2020, and Courtney Kamberalis, who was tied for 15
th in the country on the floor in 2020. The 2022 roster carries an infusion of youth to the program, with eight freshman and 13 sophomores preparing for the upcoming season.
Vault: Brockport was flying high on the vault, finishing second in the country and first in the East region with an SAS of 47.8313 and a season high of 48.175 in 2020. Senior All-American
Nikki Jackson ended her sophomore season ranked fourth in the nation, posting a SAS of 9.725 and will look to maintain the Golden Eagles success on the vault alongside seniors
Lexi Castellaneta and
Dorothy Wernick. Sophomore
Sydney Schumaker enters the new season with a vault that has the maximum start value of 10.0, while Castellaneta and sophomore
Emma Grace Sargent carry vault start values of 9.95 and 9.90 respectively and are expected to highlight this event for Brockport.
Uneven Bars: The Golden Eagles sat at fourth in the country and first in the East on the bars back in 2020, posting a team SAS of 47.3125 and a season high of 47.575. Junior's
Gabbi Gare and
Rachel Swick ended the 2020 campaign at 17
th and 20
th in the country, respectively. Brockport expects to enter the year with four routines carrying a maximum start value, and E-level dismounts by sophomore's
Emma Grace Sargent and
Sydney Schumaker.
Beam: The Golden Eagles sat in a tie for sixth in the country on the beam with an SAS of 47.4125 and a season high of 47.8 back in 2020.
Lexi Castellaneta was 15
th in the nation to end the 2020 season, posting a SAS of 9.6625, and senior
Jensen Todd was 22
nd in the country with a SAS of 9.5938. This season, the team enters with all their beam routines expected to have a maximum start value. Finding a balance between their tumbling elements and high-level dance elements, and a roster that carries a mix of experience and new faces, beam has the potential to be one of Brockport's strongest events this year.
Floor: Brockport posted a SAS of 47.9938 and season high of 48.525 in 2020, ranking fourth in the country and third in the region. The Golden Eagles had two finish the season in the top 10, with junior
Kyra Figurelli finishing in a tie for eighth and
Lexi Castellaneta finishing tenth in the nation. Floor is set to have the most depth of any of the events for Brockport. Highlighting this group with their tumbling passes are senior
Lexi Castellaneta, junior
Kyra Figurelli, sophomore
Natalie Galioto, and freshman
Maya Pecoraro. Castellaneta's first tumbling pass will consist of an E-level element. Junior
Emmie White and sophomore's
Naimah Muhammad and
Kirsten Paultre are also among the floor routines that should be watched for, all carrying high entertainment values.
