The SUNY Brockport gymnastics program posted a season-best team score and defeated host Ithaca College 192.275-187.425 in NCGA East action on Sunday afternoon.  Gabbi Gare tied the school-record with a score of 9.775 to take home first place on the uneven bars for Brockport. Gare tied Kaitlin Dewey's school-record which was originally set back in 2011. Bport's team score of 48.425 on the bars is a new school-record. 
 
Brockport improved its dual meet record to 4-0 on the year and they are now 2-0 against Ithaca this year.  The Golden Eagles return home on Saturday when they host Rhode Island College for a dual meet at 1 p.m. Saturday will be Senior Day for Brockport, where they will honor their graduating seniors immediately following the conclusion of events. Brockport topped Rhode Island College on the road back on January 22^nd. 

Lexi Castellaneta and Natalie Galioto tied for first place on the bars after they each posted a 9.750.  Their score of 9.750 is tied for second on the program's all-time list.

Brockport set the tone from the start with the top five finishers on the vault.  Lexi Castellaneta and Sydney Schumaker tied for the top spot in the event with a score of 9.700.  9.700 was a season-best mark for Schumaker.  Emma Grace Sargent placed third with a score of 9.575, while Kyra Figurelli tied teammate Nikki Jackson for fourth place with a score of 9.475. 

Uneven Bars

Brockport's school-record performance on the bars was led by Gabbi Gare, Taylor Bushey and Emma Grace Sargent who each eclipsed 9.700.  Gare's 9.775 took home first place and tied the school-record, while Bushey's 9.750 is a new collegiate personal best.  The Golden Eagles had the top six finishers on the bars. Rachel Swick placed fourth with a score of 9.625, while Sydney Schumaker added a fifth-place score of 9.575. Kyra Figurelli added a sixth-place finish with a score of 9.450. 

Balance Beam

Brockport's team score of 47.950 on the bars marks a new season-best for the Golden Eagles.  Lexi Castellaneta matched her career-best mark on the beam with a score of 9.750 to share first place in the event with Natalie Galioto.  Sydney Schumaker placed fourth with a score of 9.625, while Olivia Stinnette placed in the top five with a score of 9.550.  Maya Pecoraro rounded out the top five finishers for Brockport with a score of 9.275. 

Floor Exercise

Brockport's Naimah Muhammad posted a personal collegiate best score of 9.80 to take home top honors in the floor exercise for the Golden Eagles.  Kirsten Paultre placed third overall with a season-best score of 9.725 and Lexi Castellaneta placed fifth with a score of 9.650.  Natalie Galioto placed eighth with a score of 9.525 and Kyra Figurelli rounded out Brockport's top five finishers with a score of 9.275.
