The nationally-ranked No. 1 SUNY Brockport gymnastics program will travel to Cornell University on Sunday to partake in the Cornell Quad Meet. Brockport will square off against Division I Cornell as well as its Division III counterparts Ithaca and Cortland. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

In the National Spotlight: Brockport is currently ranked No. 1 in the NCGA in All Around Season Average Score (SAS). Brockport is the only team in division III gymnastics to average a meet score of 190+ this season and they currently rank No. 1 with an SAS of 190.0438. Their top meet score of 190.275 is tied for the highest score in the NCGA this season. Brockport leads the nation in floor exercise SAS (47.9563), balance beam SAS (47.2563), and vault SAS (47.9688).
Hot Start for Coach Lyst: Brockport is a perfect 5-0 in dual meets under the direction of first year Head Coach Dr. Rene Lyst. Lyst took over the reins of the program this Fall following the retirement of legendary Head Coach John Feeney.
All-American Candidate: Brockport senior
Lexi Castellaneta leads the charge of several All-American hopefuls for Brockport. She's ranked No. 1 nationally on the floor and vault and No. 2 in the country on the beam.
Reigning National Champs: Brockport gymnastics is one of the most storied programs in NCGA Division III history, having won two national titles (2012 & 2019) and nine regional crowns. The list of accomplishments for the Golden Eagles also includes 15 individual national champions and 148 NCGA All-Americans.
Vault: Brockport has four individuals ranked in the top ten nationally on the vault.
Lexi Castellaneta leads the nation with a vault SAS of 9.7375.
Emma Grace Sargent ranks fifth (9.6250) and
Sydney Schumaker ranks sixth (9.5625).
Kyra Figurelli ranks ninth nationally with a vault SAS of (9.5063).
Unevan Bars: Three Golden Eagles rank in the top eight nationally on the bars.
Sydney Schumaker is tied for fourth nationally with a SAS bars score of (9.5125).
Gabbi Gare is tied for the national lead with a high score of 9.775. Gare also ranks seventh nationally with a SAS of 9.4563 and
Taylor Bushey ranks eighth with an SAS of 9.4438.
Balance Beam: Brockport had four of the top six athletes nationally on the beam this season. Brockport's
Natalie Galioto leads the nation with a beam SAS of 9.5688.
Lexi Castellaneta ranks second with an SAS of 9.5625. Schumaker ranks fifth (9.3375) and
Olivia Stinnette ranks sixth (9.3188).
Floor Exercise: Brockport has three student-athletes ranked in the top seven nationally on the floor this season. Castellaneta leads the way with an SAS of 9.7375, while
Kirsten Paultre ranks fifth nationally with an SAS of 9.6125.
Kyra Figurelli ranks seventh in the country with an SAS of 9.5375.
Next Up: Brockport heads back to Ithaca College next week to partake in the Harriet Marranca Memorial invitational hosted by the Bombers. It's a tri-meet which includes Ithaca, Brockport and Cortland. Brockport is 2-0 against Ithaca this year and 1-0 against Cortland.
