The SUNY Brockport gymnastics team improved its record to 8-0 on the year following three dual victories at the Cornell Quad Meet on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles scored a season-high 192.425 to run away with the victory over Division I Cornell, as well as their NCGA counterparts Ithaca and Cortland.
The Golden Eagles set a school-record with a team score of 48.600 on the beam, while senior
Lexi Castellaneta and sophomore
Natalie Galioto both tied the school-record on the beam with a score of 9.8000. First-year Head Coach Rene Lyst has now won eight straight duals to start her career at Brockport. Brockport has defeated Division I Cornell in two consecutive seasons and the defending NCGA champs have beaten Ithaca three times this season.
The Golden Eagles placed first as a team on both the bars (48.200) and the beam (48.600) to earn their eighth straight victory. Brockport returns to the gym on February 20
th when they travel to Ithaca College for the Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational hosted by the Bombers at 3 p.m.

Sydney Schumaker posted a personal-best score of 9.800 on the vault to take home the top honors at the quad meet. Her score is tied for second on Brockport's all-time list behind teammate
Nicole Jackson.
Emma Grace Sargent placed eighth overall and second on the team with a score of 9.550 and
Kyra Figurelli placed 12
th with a score of 9.375.

Gabbi Gare once again tied the school-record for the third straight week with a score of 9.775 to take home first place for the Golden Eagles.
Taylor Bushey tied her personal best with a score of 9.750 as she also tied for third place in the event, while
Emma Grace Sargent placed sixth with a score of 9.650.
Sydney Schumaker (9.525 – 9th) and
Rachel Swick (9.500 – 10
th) rounded out the top ten finishers at the meet.
