The nationally ranked No. 1 SUNY Brockport gymnastics team remained unbeaten in team competition and improved to 10-0 on the year with two dual victories over Ithaca and Cortland at the Harriett Marranca Memorial Invitational hosted by Ithaca on Sunday.  The Golden Eagles posted a team score of 191.150 and swept all four team events to remain in command of the NCGA East.  Brockport's Sydney Schumaker won the vault (9.700), tied the school-record on the beam (9.800) and she added a sixth-place finish on the bars (9.100).

The Golden Eagles return to action next Sunday when they travel to SUNY Cortland to square off against Ithaca and Cortland. Brockport is 4-0 against Ithaca this year and 3-0 against Cortland.

The Golden Eagles had four of the top six finishers on the vault and posted an event score of 47.475.  Sydney Schumaker took home first place in the vault (9.700) while Lexi Castellaneta placed second with a score of 9.675. Emma Grace Sargent rounded out the top three with a score of 9.575 and Kyra Figurelli added a fifth-place finish (9.525).

Brockport once again dominated on the bars and posted a team score of 47+ for the fourth consecutive meet. The Golden Eagles had the top six finishers in the event.  Taylor Bushey won with a score of 9.675 and Emma Grace Sargent placed second with a score of 9.650.  Gabbi Gare placed third (9.425) and Kyra Figurelli placed fourth (9.350).  Rachel Swick (9.325) and Sydney Schumaker (9.100) rounded out the top six.

Brockport's bars team posted a 48+ for the second consecutive week to help the Golden Eagles pull away from the competition. Natalie Galioto tied the school-record for the second straight week and Sydney Schumaker put together a career-best performance (9.800) to tie her teammate for the top spot in the event.  Lexi Castellaneta tied for fourth place with a score of 9.725 and Olivia Stinnette placed ninth with a score of 9.300.  Emmie White rounded out the top ten finishers with a score of 9.300.

Brockport posted a 48+ team score for the third straight week and Alexis Castellaneta won the floor for the third time this year, and second consecutive week, as she posted a score of 9.825.  Kyra Figurelli (9.725) tied for second while Naimah Muhammad added a sixth-place finish (9.675) and Laken Sooy posted a collegiate best score of 9.550.
