The nationally ranked No. 1 SUNY Brockport gymnastics team remained unbeaten and improved to 12-0 on the season as the Golden Eagles defeated Ithaca and Cortland on the road at Cortland Sunday afternoon. Brockport posted a team score of 190.700 while Sydney Schumaker tied the program-record on the vault with a score of 9.825. Brockport tied the team's season high on the vault with a score of 48.250 and also posted a team season-high score of 48.775 on the floor. 
 
Brockport heads back to Cortland next Sunday to take on the Red Dragons and Rhode Island College at 1 p.m. in their final tune-up before NCGA Regionals at Springfield College on March 12th. Brockport will look to defend their national title at the 2022 NCGA National Championships hosted by Ithaca College on March 26th at 3 p.m.

Schumaker led the way for Brockport's season-high team score on the vault. She tied teammate Nicole Jackson for the program-record with a score ­of 9.825. Brockport had six of the top ten finishers on the vault.  Lauren Blair placed second with a score of 9.725, while Emma Grace Sargent placed fourth with a score of 9.650.  Laken Sooy placed eighth with a score of 9.550 and Lexi Castellaneta placed ninth with a score of 9.500.  Kyra Figurelli placed 10^th with a score of 9.450. 

Bars

Brockport had four of the top ten finishers on the bars.  Emma Grace Sargent led the way for the Golden Eagles with a third-place finish and a score of 9.575. Schumaker placed fourth with a score of 9.375 and Figurelli placed fifth with a score of 9.300.  Gabbi Gare rounded out the top 10 finishers with a score of 8.975 for Brockport.

Brockport won the beam with a team score of 47.750.  Natalie Galioto and Maya Pecoraro tied for first place for the Golden Eagles as they each posted a score of 9.725.  Lexi Castellaneta finished fourth on the beam with a score of 9.675 and Olivia Stinnette finished 10^th on the beam out of 18 competitors with a score of 9.450.

Brockport's floor squad secured the victory for the Golden Eagles with a season-high score of 48.775.  Lexi Castellaneta won her third straight floor competition with a score of 9.825, while Kyra Figurelli posted a season-high score of 9.800.  Natalie Galioto tied for fourth with a score of 9.750 and Naimah Muhammad and Kirsten Paultre tied for sixth with a score of 9.700.
