Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport gymnastics squad improved to 5-0 in duals this season with a 192.225-184.125 win over Rhode Island College.
Lexi Castellaneta set career-highs on the vault (9.775) and balance beam (9.775) to lead the way. Her score on the balance beam is second all-time at Brockport, while her vault score is tied for fifth all-time.
For the second week in a row,
Gabbi Gare tied the school-record on the bars with a score of 9.775.
Olivia Stinnette's mark of 9.700 on the balance beam set a new career-high in the event. With a 9.675 score on the vault,
Lauren Blair also set a new career-high.
Kyra Figurelli scored a season-high on the floor exercise with a 9.750.
The Golden Eagles are now 2-0 against Rhode Island College this season. It was Senior Night, as the graduating class improved its dual record to 13-0 at home in the Tuttle North Gymnastics Center.
Brockport is back in action next weekend, as the squad travels to face Cornell University at 1 pm on Sunday, February 13
th.

Brockport earned the six highest scores in the vault event, with
Lexi Castellaneta's career-high score of 9.775 leading the way.
Lauren Blair was second with a career-high 9.675, while
Emma Grace Sargent was third with a score of 9.625.
Sydney Schumaker's score of 9.600 was fourth,
Nicole Jackson took fifth with a 9.575, and
Kyra Figurelli was sixth with a 9.475.
Uneven Bars

Gabbi Gare tying the school record with a 9.775 on the uneven bars earned her first in the event as Brockport had the top four performances.
Taylor Bushey and
Sydney Schumaker tied for second on the bars with scores of 9.650.
Emma Grace Sargent's score of 9.550 earned her fourth in the event.
Balance Beam
Brockport: 47.900
Rhode Island: 47.125
Setting a career-high on the beam,
Lexi Castellaneta's score of 9.775 took first place as Brockport had four of the top five scores.
Olivia Stinnette's career-high score of 9.700 was good for third place.
Natalie Galioto was fourth with a 9.625 and
Emmie White earned the fifth best score with a 9.600.
