Brockport, NY - The Brockport Field Hockey team will close out both regular season and SUNYAC play on Wednesday, October 25
th against Geneseo at 4pm.

Last Week: The Golden Eagles split last week's road contests, falling 2-0 against Rochester before dominating Morrisville State 9-0.
Ella Buchanan kept the Green and Gold close throughout, allowing just two goals and saving 14 Yellowjacket shots.

Against Morrisville State, six different Golden Eagles scored in the 9-0 win.
Tiffany Andres (3 goals) and
Gianna Salerno (2G 2A) posted 6 points each, with
Ella Buchanan and
Katelynn Banning combining for a shutout. The win moved Brockport to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in SUNYAC play, and secured a postseason berth in the SUNYAC tournament for the first time since 2011.

Record Breaker: With her two-assist game against Morrisville,
Emmalee Moore added her name to the Brockport field hockey record book. Moore's 10
th assist broke the previous single-season record of nine assists.

National/SUNYAC Rankings: Entering the final regular season contest, several Golden Eagles rank among the national and conference finest in several statistical categories. In addition to breaking the single-season record,
Emmalee Moore ranks 16
th in the country in assists per game (0.67, 2
nd in SUNAYC).
Paige Thowe's 0.53 assists per game are good for 5
th best in the SUNYAC, in addition to the Golden Eagles ranking 9
th in the country as a team in assists per game (2.62, 1

Brick Wall: Ella Buchanan and Katelyn Banning have served as an excellent goalie tandem for the Green and Gold in 2023. Buchanan ranks 14
th in the country in save percentage (0.825, 2
nd in SUNYAC), with the tandem also ranking 20
th in the country in shutouts per game (0.44).

Team Leaders: Quinn Guy has led the offense attack this season for Brockport, leading the team in goals (12) and points (30).
Emmalee Moore has been the main distributor, leading the Green and Gold in assists (10), with
Paige Thowe not far behind with 8 assists.
Abby Chalmers and
Mary Young have served as the workhorses for the Brockport defense, with Chalmers leading Brockport in minutes played (821), and Young leading in defensive saves (4).

Scouting Geneseo: The Knights own a 10-5 record with a 3-2 mark in SUNYAC play, recently clinching a birth in the SUNYAC tournament. Geneseo is led offensively by senior Katrina Clare, who leads the Knights in goals (12), and points (25). The Golden Eagles will enter Wednesday looking to move up to the third seed in the SUNYAC tournament, with the loser of Wednesday's game moving to the 4 seed.
