Brockport, NY - The Brockport field hockey team will return to the postseason for the first time since 2010 to take on the Cortland Red Dragons on Wednesday, November 1
st at 2 pm.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles were shut out on the road at Geneseo last Wednesday, 1-0, in the regular season finale.
Ella Buchanan kept the Green and Gold within striking distance throughout, finishing with 11 saves and just one goal allowed.
Mary Young added a defensive save in the contest, good for a team-leading five on the season. Brockport finished the regular season 11-6 overall, with a 3-3 SUNYAC record, good for the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.

Tournament Outlook: The winner of Wednesday's semifinal matchup between #4 Brockport and #1 Cortland will take on the winner of the corresponding semifinal matchup of #3 Geneseo and #2 New Paltz. A Golden Eagles victory would secure home field for the winner of the Geneseo and New Paltz.

Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons wrapped up the regular season on a seven-game winning streak, finishing 15-1 overall with an undefeated 6-0 mark in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons feature three players with 10 or more goals, including Gianna Trunfio (16), Keirra Ettere (12), and Jamie Snyder (10). Brockport will enter the contest looking to avenge a 4-0 loss at home to Cortland during the regular season.
