Brockport, NY - The Brockport field hockey team will return to the postseason for the first time since 2010 to take on the Cortland Red Dragons on Wednesday, November 1^st at 2 pm.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles were shut out on the road at Geneseo last Wednesday, 1-0, in the regular season finale. Ella Buchanan kept the Green and Gold within striking distance throughout, finishing with 11 saves and just one goal allowed. Mary Young added a defensive save in the contest, good for a team-leading five on the season. Brockport finished the regular season 11-6 overall, with a 3-3 SUNYAC record, good for the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.
 
A Season to Remember: Entering postseason play, the Golden Eagles have put together a historic season highlighted by several team and individual accomplishments.

• Emmalee Moore becoming the Golden Eagles single-season assist record holder (10)
• Head Coach Krista Archambeau earns 1st postseason appearance and career-high in wins (11)
• Quinn Guy entering a tie for 6^th place in single-season goals (12)
• Ella Buchanan ranks 12^th in the country and 1^st in the SUNYAC in save percentage (0.825)
• As a team, Brockport is Top-20 nationally in assists per game (12^th), scoring margin (16^th), save percentage (17^th), scoring average (19^th), and points per game (19^th)
• Bailey Lazore moves into 6^th place all-time in career points (65) and 4^th place in career goals (27)

 
Tournament Outlook: The winner of Wednesday's semifinal matchup between #4 Brockport and #1 Cortland will take on the winner of the corresponding semifinal matchup of #3 Geneseo and #2 New Paltz. A Golden Eagles victory would secure home field for the winner of the Geneseo and New Paltz.
 
Scouting Cortland: The Red Dragons wrapped up the regular season on a seven-game winning streak, finishing 15-1 overall with an undefeated 6-0 mark in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons feature three players with 10 or more goals, including Gianna Trunfio (16), Keirra Ettere (12), and Jamie Snyder (10). Brockport will enter the contest looking to avenge a 4-0 loss at home to Cortland during the regular season.
 
Up Next: With a Golden Eagles win, Brockport will take on the winner of New Paltz and Geneseo on the road on Saturday, November 4^th. In a win or go home scenario for the postseason, a loss would result in the end of the 2023 campaign.
