Volleyball to Finish Up Regular Season This Week

Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport volleyball team will be on the road this week to conclude the 2023 regular season. On Wednesday the team heads to the University of Rochester for a 7pm matchup. This weekend the Golden Eagles head to the Clark University Tri-Match in Massachusetts.
 
Locking up the No. 4 Seed: After going 1-1 this past weekend on the road in conference play, Brockport has officially secured the No. 4 seed for the SUNYAC Tournament. Over the weekend the squad defeated Oswego, 3-0, and lost to Cortland, 3-0. Brockport concludes conference play at 6-3 overall, as Head Coach Jim Clar gets to the postseason in year one with the program. The Green and Gold are heading back to the conference tournament for the ninth year in a row.
 
Heading to Massachusetts: After the mid-week non-conference match, the Golden Eagles head out to Worcester, MA this weekend to compete at the Clark University Tri-Match. Upcoming Opponents:  In the final week of the regular season, Brockport gets started against the U of R Wednesday night at 7pm. The Yellowjackets enter the match 16-8 overall on the season and recently swept Oneonta, 3-0, over the weekend.
 
The first battle of the weekend trip to the Clark University Tri-Match will be against the Coast Guard Academy on Saturday at 1pm. The Bears currently own an overall mark of 18-7, winning five in a row going into the week.
 
Brockport will take on the host for the Tri-Match, Clark University, for the final match of the regular season. The weekend will come to a close following this 3pm meeting on Saturday. The Cougars enter the weekend 16-11 overall, as they have won three in a row prior.
 
SUNYAC 1st Round Matchup: As the No. 4 seed for the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament, Brockport has earned hosting rights for the first round. The Golden Eagles will be home on Tuesday, November 7th at 6pm to take on No. 5 Buffalo State in the opening round of the conference tournament.
