Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's and women's cross-country team will head to Houghton, NY for NCAA Regionals on Saturday, November 11th. The men's race will be underway at 11am, with the women's race taking place at 1pm.
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles men's and women's teams took home 2nd place and 5th lace at the SUNYAC Championships.
Jared Smith led the charge for the men's team with his 25:20.7 mark leading the Golden Eagles and finishing 5th overall. Smith's Top-5 finish earned himself 1st-Team All-SUNYAC in addition to being named to the SUNYAC 2023 Men's Cross Country Championship Hall of Fame.
Jonathan Zavala finished close behind, finishing 6th and earning 2nd-Team All-SUNYAC with
his 25:23 mark.
Patrick Klinger crossed 3rd for Brockport, finishing 6th overall and earning 3rd-Team All-SUNYAC.
Gabe Winters-Bona earned 3rd-Team All-Conference and took 13th place as Brockport's 4th runner to finish.
Thomas Kressly cracked the Top-20, finishing 19th at 26:45.2.
Mia Vizcaino was first to finish for Brockport, wrapping up her 6k in 24:39.5, good for 25th.
Julianne Wilson finished second for Brockport, earning 26th overall with her 25:09.5 mark.
The pack of
Esther Nankumba (25:24),
Lydia Cox (25:25), and
Lauren Yonko (25:37) finished within 13 seconds of each other, taking 29th, 30th, and 33rd respectively.
Men's Runners: The men's Top-7 of Jonathan Zavala, Gabriel Winters-Bona, Jared Smith, Thomas Kressly, Patrick Klinger, Sean Killip, Daniel Casey, and Anthony Ruiz will represent the Golden Eagles at NCAA Regionals.
Women's Runners: The women's Top-7 representing Brockport at NCAA Regionals consists of

Maeve Robarge,
Mia Vizcaino, Julie Wilson,
Leah Lloyd, and
Jennifer Reagan.
Regional Rankings: The Brockport men's team slotted in 35th nationally with a #2 ranking in the Niagara Region. This week's USTFCCCA rankings mark back-to-back weeks that the Golden Eagles have held a national ranking.
