Brockport was able to close the match out with a 25-18 showing in the third, completing the sweep over the first-round opponent, 3-0.

Going 7-0 at The Vlog in 2023, the team's last home loss came on October 25th, 2022. The Golden Eagles finished the home schedule with five straight sweeps and only surrendered two sets at home all season.

SUNYAC History:  In his first year with the program, Brockport's Head Coach Jim Clar has the Golden Eagles back in the semifinals for a fourth straight season. Last year Brockport mad e a run to the finals and won its most recent conference championship back in 2019. In 2021 the squad lost a five-set thriller to Geneseo in the semifinals. In 2022, Brockport pushed past New Paltz in the semis, 3-1, before losing to Cortland in the championship round. Currently with nine conference titles in program history, Brockport looks for number 10 this year.

Opening Round Performances: The team saw strong performances all over the court, including three players with double-digit kills in the match. Jordan Thompson led the way with 15, while both Alexis Sison and Alenna Williamson had 10. Williamson played an incredibly efficient match, registering a .533 hitting percentage.

Brockport benefitted from seven points on service aces. Gianna Felipe and Elsie Logan each had two aces. Logan also led the squad with 20 digs, while Felipe came up with 16. Thompson got in on the action defensively with 14 digs and Brooklyn Sullivan contributed 10 of her own.

Setter Kaitlyn Jewett continues her strong season into the first round of the postseason, tallying 44 assists in the match. This would make the sixth time in her freshman campaign that she has finished with 40 or more in a single contest.

Postseason Rematch vs Cortland: In the 2022 SUNYAC Tournament, Brockport faced Cortland in the championship match. The top-seeded Red Dragons needed all five sets to defeat the Green and Gold, 3-2. Cortland won the first set, but Brockport stormed back in the next two to take a 2-1 lead. However, Cortland closed it out with wins in the final two sets for the title. This time around the two teams meet in the semifinal round, as the Golden Eagles look for revenge.

SUNYAC Finals Ahead: It is a win or go home scenario for all four teams playing at Cortland on Friday night. The winner of each matchup will earn their way into the SUNYAC Finals on Saturday at 4pm. The winner of Saturday's match claims the 2023 SUNYAC Championship and the automatic bid into the NCAA DIII Championships, scheduled to start November 16th.
