Brockport, NY – On Tuesday, December 5
th the Golden Eagles are back on the home court for a non-conference clash with Morrisville State College. Tip-off is set for 6pm at The Vlog.

Weekend Recap: Brockport opened SUNYAC play this past weekend with its first two home games of the season. With a win over Oneonta (87-76) and a loss to New Paltz (67-55), the team moved to 5-2 overall with a 1-1 mark in the conference.
 
Freshman 
Caquan Wester had a big night to lead the way against Oneonta, posting the first double-double of his career (19 pts, 11 reb). Brockport's bench came up big, outscoring the Red Dragons reserves, 44-28. As a team the Green and Gold hit a season-high 12 3-pointers in the game.
 
The next day Brockport struggled from beyond the arc against the New Paltz Hawks. Despite the shooting woes, the Golden Eagles' defensive effort kept the game close. Going small, they forced six turnovers late in the game looking to make a comeback. However, the Hawks held Brockport off to pull out the win.
 
Providing a Spark: Several players have come in off the bench recently to make a difference on the court for Brockport. Freshman 
Alex Tavarez averaged 10.5 points a game over the weekend to go with five steals and two blocks defensively. Against Oneonta, 
Jevonny Brown had his best outing of the year with 17 points and eight rebounds. Coming in off the bench against the Red Dragons, 
Zachary Rice hit three shots from long range on the way to 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
 
Doing it All: Tony Arnold has done a little bit of everything for the Green and Gold this season, leading the team in multiple statistical categories. Playing the most minutes (172) he is first on the team in points (97), free throws made/attempted (24/35), assists (18), and steals (13). Arnold is currently averaging 13.9 points a game and has come up clutch with two game-winning buckets already this season.
 
Looking at the Mustangs: The Morrisville State Mustangs are currently riding the momentum of a four-game win streak into Tuesday night's game. They are 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the NAC so far this season. As a team they average 81.1 points a game, while shooting 45.9% from the field, 36.9% from deep, and 75.8% at the foul line. #15 Jakhi Lucas leads the team with an average of 14.5 points a game so far this season. Both Lucas (50% 3PT) and his teammate, #3 Shykell Brown (52.2% 3PT), have been lethal from long range for Morrisville early this year.
 
Long Break Ahead: Following Tuesday night's matchup with Morrisville, the Golden Eagles will have some time off for the holiday season. Their next game isn't until Friday, January 5
th when conference play resumes against Oswego on the road.
