Brockport, NY - The Golden Eagles men's basketball team will look to return to their winning ways as they play host to SUNY Potsdam Friday, February 3
rd at 7:30pm before another home tilt on February 4
th against Plattsburgh State at 4pm.

Looking to Get Back on Track: Before a disappointing loss at Geneseo, the Golden Eagles were riding an 8-game win streak spanning from December 19th to January 21st. This streak included marquee victories over multiple top-five SUNYAC teams in Oneonta, Cortland, and New Paltz. As a result, Brockport currently ranks second in the SUNYAC with a 10-2 record in conference play and 15-4 overall.

Last Time Out: Despite being in control at the half, the squad was outscored, 40-29, in the second. This ultimately led to a, 71-65, victory for SUNY Geneseo and effectively ending Brockport's month-long unbeaten streak. With 15 points and 10 rebounds,Â
David Grady IIIÂ recorded his third straight double-double and his fifth of the year.Â
Mekhi Beckett led the team in scoring with 17 points and he grabbed nine boards.

Tony Arnold leads all SUNYAC players with 48 total steals on the season. Senior forward
David Grady III leads the conference in total blocks with 45 and ranks fourth in the conference in rebounds per game with 7.9 boards per contest. Grady's shot blocking ability has him ranked 24th in the nation in blocked shots.

Leading Scorers:Â The Golden Eagles have four players averaging over 10 points a game, andÂ
Mekhi Beckett leads the offense with 18.5 points a game. Beckett is the second-leading scorer in the conference overall and leads the SUNYAC with 56 3-pointers made.Â
Jahidi Wallace has contributed 12.9 points per game on the year as the team's second top scorer.Â

Against Potsdam: Brockport's first meeting against the Bears ended in an 86-59 rout where they dominated all aspects of the contest, outshooting Potsdam 51.7% from the field compared to just 32.4%.Â
Mekhi Beckett led all scorers with 24 points on an efficient 8-13 shooting and 4-6 shooting from three-point range. Potsdam is 4-8 in conference play, good for 7th in the SUNYAC, and owns a record of 6-12 overall.

Against Plattsburgh St: The Golden Eagles won their first meeting on the road against Plattsburgh, 81-63, in a game where senior
David Grady III was nearly unstoppable. He matched his season-high with 23 points along with grabbing 12 rebounds. Grady notched a double-double while shooting an effective 11-for-15 from the field. The Cardinals enter the weekend with a 3-9 record in SUNYAC play, good for 8
th in the conference, and a 7-12 record overall.

Next Up: After a weekend of home action, Brockport will travel to Oneonta on Friday, February 10th to face the Red Dragons at 7:30pm in a contest with major SUNYAC implications. Oneonta is currently 3
rd in the SUNYAC, only one game behind Brockport, with a conference record of 9-3Â and an overall record of 13-6. The Golden Eagles will also take on New Paltz on the road that Saturday, February 11th at 4pm.
