Ithaca, NY – The SUNY Brockport gymnastics team had a big day with a season-high 193.250, defeating Ithaca, Urisnus, and Rhode Island. This marks Brockport's best score since regionals back in 2019.
Starting off on the bars,
Rachel Swick had the team's best score of 9.775. Brockport put up a 47.800 as a team in the event.
Taylor Bushey was close behind with a 9.750.
Gabbi Gare scored a 9.600 and
Sydney Schumaker registered a 9.500.
After the first rotation, Brockport's score had the squad ahead of Ithaca, Ursinus, and Rhode Island.
The Golden Eagles then grabbed a 48.250 on the balance beam in their second event of the meet.
Natalie Galioto posted a 9.825 with her routine. Teammate
Sydney Schumaker had a good run as well with a her 9.800.
Cali Czarcinski earned a 9.650,
Olivia Stinnette scored a 9.525, and
Emmie White had a 9.450.
At the end of two rotations the scores were as follows:
Brockport – 96.050
Rhode Island – 95.650
Ithaca – 95.250
Ursinus – 94.625
The floor was up next which allowed the Green and Gold to build upon the lead with a 48.650, the best team score for the event on the day.
Kyra Figurelli hit a 9.850 and
Lauren Blair scored a 9.825 as both broke the 9.8 mark.
Kirsten Paultre added a 9.750 for the squad.
Natalie Galioto and
Rachel Swick earned scores of 9.600 and 9.550 respectively.
Now at a running score of 144.700 after the third rotation, Brockport looked to finish strong on the vault to close out the win. The Golden Eagles did just that with a 48.550 on the vault.
They were led by a trio of 9.750 marks across the lineup.

Maren Eramo, and
Emma Grace Sargent all hit the 9.750 score.
Kyra Figurelli posted a 9.675, while
Lauren Blair finished with a 9.625. This strong show on the vault provided the team with its final score of 193.250.
The Golden Eagles now prepare for next week's trip to the University of Bridgeport. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5pm on Saturday, February 25
th.
