Brockport, NY – On Friday, the Golden Eagles hosted the first day of action for the Brockport Multi and Invitational. With no competitors from the team in the men's heptathlon, Brockport's women got to work in the pentathlon.
Madison Baker earned a point for the team with an eighth-place finish in the pentathlon (2,421), while teammate
Laura Pink placed 17
th in the competition (1,476).
Baker's best two events on the day were the 60-meter hurdles and the shot put, earning sixth place in both. She recorded a time of 10.20 in the race and a threw a distance of 8.08 meters.
In the 800-meter she finished seventh with a time of 2:45.30. Madison earned 11
th with a 1.32 in the high jump and 13
th with a 4.38 in the long jump.
Pink came in 16
th for the high jump (1.17), shot put (6.34), and 800-meter (2:59.23) on Friday. She also was 17
th in both the 60-meter hurdles (13.06) and long jump (3.87).
The rest of the Golden Eagles get their chance to perform on Saturday, with the action getting started at 10am back at The SERC.
