BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The SUNY Brockport men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to open the 2026 spring season on Saturday, March 28, at the St. John Fisher Tri-Meet. Competition is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.

2025 Season Recap
The Golden Eagles concluded the 2025 campaign with a strong showing, highlighted by multiple All-Conference and All-Region selections, as well as four national qualifiers under the direction of coaches Ed Jaskulski, John Davis, Marty Vajen, and Alexander Curran.
Empire 8 Championships
In their inaugural season in the Empire 8 Conference, Brockport hosted the conference championship meet, where both the men's and women's teams earned runner-up finishes. The men totaled 199 points, while the women accumulated 149.5 points across the two-day competition.
Nine Golden Eagles captured individual or relay titles, including Derek Grimshaw (100m), Jeremy Chen (400m hurdles), Marissa Wise (200m), Alexis Rodriguez (400m hurdles), Rebecca Heuler (javelin), and the women's 4x800 relay team of Mia Vizcaino, Ethne Degan, Jaylah Cossin, and Vanessa Ramos.

Following the 2025 season, the USTFCCCA announced its All-Region selections, with Brockport earning 13 total honors.

2025 NCAA Championships
Brockport was represented by four student-athletes at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Jonathan Zavala earned All-America honors in the 1500m, placing seventh overall after advancing to the final with a 12th-place qualifying performance.
Ayden Grinion competed in the 400m hurdles, finishing 19th with a time of 54.78 seconds. His season included multiple top-three finishes and a program record in the event.
Alexis Rodriguez also qualified in the 400m hurdles, placing 10th with a time of 1:02.38. She concluded the season ranked second all-time in program history.
Rebecca Heuler earned All-America honors in the javelin with a sixth-place finish (40.78 meters). She was later named Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Following the season opener, the Golden Eagles will travel to SUNY Geneseo on Saturday, April 4, with competition scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
