Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport indoor track and field teams fared very well hosting the Brockport Multi & Invitational this weekend. The women's team collected a total of 147 points to place first, while the men earned second with a score of 110 points.
Leah Siegmann ran a 19:22.31 and
Olivia Furman ran a 19:24.93 to take second and third in the 5,000-meter race. The two teammates grabbed 14 total team points from the event.
In the mile,
Sarah Davis was fourth with her time of 5:29.43 to score five points.
Emma Mathes added two more points from the mile with her seventh-place time of 5:32.55.
Both Clara Sensini and
Sarah Levine hit the regional qualifying time for the 400-meter on the day. Sensini ran a 1:00.25 for second place and eight points, while Levine ran a 1:00.72 for fourth and five points.
Another regional qualifying mark was met by
Jennifer Metz, as she finished second in the 800-meter to score eight points with a time of 2:20.24.
Sarah Levine was Brockport's lone scorer in the 200-meter dash, grabbing two points with a seventh-place finish at 26.72.
Sophomore
Kaylee Haynes ran a 1:43.85 to score six points in the 600-meter, earning third in the race.
The Golden Eagles took 10 points with a strong showing from the distance medley relay team that won the event.
Mia Vizcaino,
Vanessa Ramos,
Julianne Wilson, and
Meredith Masker teamed up for a time of 13:14.09.
Kerry Flower hits the regional mark in the 3000-meter with a first place finish in 10:26.62.
Veronica Dailey was fourth in the event with a time of 10:41.33. The pairing combined for 15 points in the event.
Another 10 points was added to the team's tally thanks to the first place 4x400 relay team.
Courtney Bostic,
Jennifer Metz, Clara Sensini, and
Sarah Levine hit the regional qualifying time with a 4:04.38.
Brockport dominated the shot put event once again, taking 22 points from the single event.
Sarah Crockett led the way with a first-place mark of 13.29 meters.
Trinity Dees was second with a 11.58,
Katrina Chandler was sixth with a 11.30, and
Emma Kinnicutt rounded out the scorers in eighth with a 10.94.
Michaela Levesque's clearance height of 1.59 meters in the high jump was good for second place.
Sarah Killip cleared 1.54 for fourth, as the duo scored 13 points in the event.
Mia Montgomery got three more points for the Green and Gold thanks to a sixth place mark of 5.47 meters in the long jump.
Mya Henry snuck into eighth place on the pole vault to score a point with a clearance height of 2.90 meters.
The throwers scored another 19 points thanks to their work in the weight throw.
Sarah Crockett took the top spot again with a 16.67.
Emma Kinnicutt threw a 15.19 on her first attempt to place third.
Katrina Chandler was seventh with a 14.38 and
Lainey Porter was eighth thanks to her 14.21.
Mia Montgomery was the lone scorer in the triple jump. She recorded a distance of 10.80 meters on her first attempt to place sixth and score three points.
Next weekend the Golden Eagles will split up the competing athletes at two different meets. A group will travel to Boston University for the David Hemery Invitational on February 10
th and 11
th. Others will head to Susquehanna University on February 10
th for the River Hawk Friday Night Invitational.
