On March 21^st family, friends, staff, faculty, students, and alumni from across the globe came together to raise $90,000+ worth of gifts to SUNY Brockport Athletics as part of the University's Day of Giving challenge. The gifts came from a 1,037 athletics donors.

The following teams earned an extra $3,500 in challenge grants for their efforts throughout the day courtesy of our challenge sponsors: VSP Graphic Group Inc., Enterprise Holdings, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust, Advantage Federal Credit Union, Precision Optical Transceivers, ESL Federal Credit Union

• Baseball – Number of Overall Donors – 304
• Football – Largest Gift Received - $2,500 courtesy of Don Greene '63.
• Women's Basketball – Highest Number of First Time Donors
• Cross Country and Track & Field – Most Athletics GOLD Donors ($1,000)

Some of the highlights of the day included the baseball program raising $28,500 as well as the football program raising $10,700.  The gymnastics program raised $7,300 and the women's basketball team raised $6,200. The women's soccer program raised $4,900. Nine programs raiser over $3,000 and 15 programs raised over $1,000.   

"These are gifts that will directly impact our student-athletes and their athletic experience here at Brockport," said Athletic Director Erick Hart. "We're so proud of the Golden Eagle family and so grateful for the support."

The generosity of these gifts enhances the experience of Brockport student-athletes as they build teamwork and leadership skills in and out of the classroom. Athletics are central to campus life and each donor is an important part of the community that fosters the intellectual, physical, and personal development of our students.
