Box Score Keuka Park, NY- The SUNY Brockport field hockey team earned a 3-0 victory in its season opener at Keuka on Friday, September 1
st.
The Golden Eagles' offense set the tone 12 minutes into the first with
Bailey Lazore finding the back of the net to put Brockport ahead 1-0 early. The Green and Gold would lean on the defense until
Emmalee Moore found paydirt in the second to double the Brockport lead to 2-0.
Bailey Lazore would provide insurance in the 3
rd period with her 2
nd goal of the night to keep the Wolves away from striking distance at 3-0.
Brockport dominated Keuka offensively, outshooting the Wolves 15-2 and doubling Keuka's penalty corner opportunities (12-6). As a team, Brockport allowed no breathing room in the defensive zone, holding Keuka to just 2 shots, and allowing just one shot on goal with no shots attempted between the 2
nd and 3
rd periods.

Abby Chalmers, and
Bailey Lazore firing off two shots. Lazore was perfect from the field with both of her shots finding the back of the net.

Ella Buchanan had to make just one save in 60 minutes of game action to earn the shutout victory.
With the 3-0 win, the Golden Eagles maintain their dominance in the head-to-head series with Keuka. This marks the 12
th straight victory against Keuka since 2006 to go along with back-to-back season opener shutout victories against the Wolves, winning last year's season opener 11-0.
