Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's volleyball team is on the road Wednesday, October 16^th to start the week. The Golden Eagles will play Geneseo at 6pm in an Empire 8 Conference matchup.
 
Later in the Week: The team will continue action on the court this weekend with a pair of home Empire 8 contests. First up is Utica coming to town on Friday for a 7pm start in The Vlog. Then on Saturday at 1pm, the Green and Gold will face SUNY Poly. Brockport is 2-0 at home so far in 2024 and is riding a 9-match win streak on its home floor.
 
Back-to-Back Sweeps: Playing in a pair of E8 battles last weekend, the Green and Gold pulled out a pair of 3-0 victories. The squad took down Keuka College on the road in three straight sets, with scores of 26-24, 27-25, and 25-16. Then returning home, the Golden Eagles defeated Elmira College. Once again they won in three sets 25-14, 25-11, and 28-26. After last weekend's sweeps, Brockport stands at 10-6 overall and 3-1 in the Empire 8.
 
Familiar Foe: Brockport will be on the road for a mid-week tilt against the Geneseo Knights, but this time as members of the E8. After playing each other in the SUNYAC for years, the two programs remain conference rivals just under a different banner this time around. The teams have split the head-to-head matchup in the last two years, with Geneseo winning in 2023 (3-2) and Brockport winning in 2022 (3-1).
 
This Weekend's Competition: Friday night the Golden Eagles will face off with with Pioneers of Utica University. The Pioneers head into the weekend at 5-10 overall, 1-4 in the conference, and losing four straight. The next day Brockport faces SUNY Poly at home once again. The Wildcats have lost six in a row, as they are 1-13 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
 
Coming Up: Brockport is at home once again for the next match on the schedule against Alfred University. The Saxons come to Brockport on Friday, October 25^th for a 6pm start.
