Brockport. NY- The Brockport field hockey team will head to Utica to face the Pioneers on Saturday, October 26^th at 5 p.m.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles' 9-game winning streak came to an end against #20 Geneseo at home, falling 5-2 on Wednesday, October 24th. Brockport moved to 12-4 and 6-1 in Empire 8 play following the loss.
 
Ella Buchanan (L, 10-3) posted a season-high 19 saves in an excellent effort.
 
Mary Young put her body on the line throughout, racking up a career-high 3 defensive saves in a strong outing.
 
Paige Thowe recorded a defensive save with a shot on goal in the contest.
 
Kelsey Zehr and Quinn Guy netted a goal each for the Green and Gold.
 
Playoff Scenarios: The Golden Eagles have clinched a spot in the Empire 8 tournament, currently setting in 2^nd place behind Geneseo. Brockport controls its density in the final two games, with a win over Utica clinching the #2 seed in the E8 tournament for the Green and Gold.
 
Final Push: Currently sitting at 12-4 with two games remaining, Brockport is chasing one of the most successful seasons in program history. With wins over Utica and St. John Fisher, Brockport would tie the program record for single-season wins (14), set in 1976.
 
Scouting Utica: Utica holds a 3-11 record with a 2-5 mark in E8 play, most recently falling on the road at Hartwick, 3-1. The last two head-to-head matchups have been dominated by Brockport, winning 6-1 in 2023 and 6-2 in 2022.
