Box Score Oswego, NY - The Brockport field hockey team won its sixth straight game, defeating Oswego on the road, 1-0, on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles improved to 9-3 overall following the non-conference match, as they remain undefeated at 4-0 in the Empire 8.Â
The Golden Eagles defense was solid from start to finish, with
Mary Young and
Terralyn McLaughlin helping hold the Lakers to just four shots on the day (1 SOG).
Despite outshooting Oswego, 8-2 (5 SOG), in the opening half, both teams went into halftime scoreless.
Paige Thowe (2),
Kalena Eaton (2), and
Allison Greene all recorded shots on goal in the opening half.

The Brockport offense would find more scoring chances in the third, with
Tiffany Andres (2),
Emmalee Moore (2), and
Kalena Eaton all registering shots on net. Oswego goalie Sam Krautheim was strong throughout, taking a shutout into the final frame and making 13 saves on the day.

The Green and Gold saved the best for last, blanking Oswego 8-0 in the shot department (4 SOG). At the 50:51 mark of the contest,
Gianna Salerno would break the scoreless tie. Salerno buried the game-winner thanks to assists from
Emmalee Moore and
Terralyn McLaughlin.
